06 pacifica fan
I recently purchased an 06 pacifica . the day after i brought it home i realized theradiator fan turns on and off by it self even when the car is off. was woundering if anybody else has had this problem and knows what it might be. i have already checked the relay and that's not the problem.
Most vehicles are designed with electric fans that can, and do, start automatically, ignition on/off.
If your vehicle is hot when the fan turns on or cycles, it's possible you have some sort of overheating problem brewing. It's always good to check that out anyway.
If the fan cycles when the vehicle is not warm, then the temp sensor or lead may be sending bunk info to the computer, who thinks it should start the fan.
It could also be a direct wiring short powering it up. Can't hurt to look.
