Blower fan blows backwards (Chrysler 300)
I have a 2004 model 300M with Automatic Temp Control (ATC) system.
About 2 weeks ago my blower stopped working - it was on full blast all time regardless of how I set the dial or even when I turned it off.
I did some research and found that the blower power module needed to be replaced. The part number I had, 04734913AE, had apparently been discontinued and replaced with part 5179985AA.
I got the new part and installed it, however, now the fan blows backwards in relation to the dial - if I turn the dial all the way UP, the fan STOPS. If I turn the dial all the way DOWN, the fan blows full speed.
Given there is only one part I can use, what can I do? Is it just a matter of swapping 2 wires from either the 3-wire or 2-wire harness? I'm assuming I need to make an adjustment since I am using a slightly different part.
Thanks!!!
