Default cam shaft sprockets

What is the best way to get the cam shaft sprockets off. The 3.5 from a 2005 and 2003 300M, I tried the books method off holding the sprocket with a cresent and a breaker bar on the bolt. They just don't move and I don't want to slam the valves into the pistons.

I always had to use an impact gun with the timing belt still on. The bolts in those sprockets have a STUPID amount of thread sealer on them and they're pretty long to boot. Pain in the **** I tell ya!
