Default Cylinder missfire 99 Cirrus

I have a 99 Cirrus. The engine was running very rough. I put new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and, rotor. The car ran great for about 3 or 4 days then it started to run rough again. I put a computer on it and it said number 5 cylinder is misfiring it did not tell me why. I checked the sparkplug it was firing. I installed an old plug wire to see if that made a difference and it didn't. I think my problem could be in the distributor or cam shaft sensor. Does any body have any experence with this?

If you're using really cheap/crappy fuel... that could do it... how many miles are on it? mine misfired a little once in a while, but it stopped when I changed the plugs.... You never know with engines like that... it could be a few things... and if a cam shaft were off at all,.. the whole thing would run like crap, not just #5... You might also check the distibutor to make sure that thing that spins is actually making contact, and make sure you didn't get the wires crossed or anything. once again, the milage question... how many?
