Alright so I have a lerbaron wagon (87) with an I-4 2.5 in it right now. I live in dallas Texas and am wondering if you all could help me find a website or a place where I can basically get a decent replacement engine (rebuilt or not) and a bullet proof trans. so that my woody wagon will survive the 2.1K mile trip back to SoCal. Any advice or link will help me greatly, thank you

 

im not familiar with your area, but those 4 cyl non-turbo engines were a dime a dozen...any junk yard should have piles of them.

 

they were a dime a dozen. Try turbododge.com Someone might have one to give you. I got a complete engine with accessories and good transmission for $40. The 413 trans is basically bulletproof if you run the right fluid in it.
