Default need help with brakes

I cant seem to get the calliper off the rear of my 2004 pacifica. The back of the calliper is slightly behind the inside rim of the rotor, I have opend the calliper as far as it will go and still cant lift calliper out.

Default RE: need help with brakes

I am not familiar with Pacificas, but my experiences with most of my chryslers and several other makes leads me to believe that is may be rusted or coroded or held into place by debris. I have always thought the clearance tolerances an a lot of calipers to be very condusive to such problems. Have you tried inserting a large flat screwdriver into the joints on the calipe any place it contacts the mounting bracket and prying gently to "break" it loose? I had a few cars that always had to be taken aprt like that.
