Starting Problems
I have a 99 300M. It will start for a week then you turn the key and it just clicks. I tolk the original battery to Advance and they checked it and said it was bad. They gave me a new one because that battery was only 2 years old. It then starts for a week then it starts clicking again. I take the new battery back and they say it is good. I put it back in and try to start and click. I would have thought it should have started after being checked. When I get it started again I'm going to have the alternator checked. But could it be a starter solenoid? If it is the starter solenoid is hard to change the starter? I also have new battery cables. Thanks

RE: Starting Problems
You need to get a digital multimeter. Some of them aren't too expensive. Then you can do your own testing.
You need to see if the battery has a good charge, I don't know what they told you at the store. If you get a jump from another vehicle, will it start?
If you turn on the headlites and turn the key to crank, how do the lites react, go out, dim, stay bright?
Yeah, if the battery is run down, it might be an alternator or wiring circuit. If you have a voltmeter, you could do some testing.

RE: Starting Problems
I may have found problem. I checked connector on the starter, and I had a small power steering leak, and I found power steering fluid on the starter contact. Yeah I seem to have power lights teyaren't dim when car won't start. Now, only time will tell. I also had the alternator check and it is charging. Thanks
