Default Wheel bearings? 03 pt cruiser

Recently our PT has started making a grinding noise at the right front tire area. It subsides when we turn left but when straight it really whines. It gets worse the faster we go and so far looking on the net it sounds like it would be the wheel bearings. Most places recommend taking it to a shop, but i found a few who attempted DIY. Some say that the least expensive way is to pull the hub and have a repair shop press in the new bearings. So my question is, should i do that or simply buy the whole hub assembly (70 bucks at Autozone) and replace it?

I just buy new hubs and replace them... Takes 20 minutes and you're off to the races. Just have to remove the Caliper, Caliper Bracket, and rotor and there she is, usually four bolts... Have the allignment checked after the replacement, our Voyager was fine before the replacement but needed the allignment when it was complete.
