09 seabring convertible limited
Hi, I’m new to this so I’ll just ask and hopefully someone out there
can help me . My daughter got a 09 seabring convertible from her
grandpa. She’s had it about a year and has been great the convertible
top hasn’t worked since she got no problem, but two weeks ago it would
just die while driving, loss of power , hard start . scan tool showed
camshaft sensor , crankshaft sensor and another one. We changed
all those and a new throttle body, same thing rpms go to 3 maybe
then just starts dropping. Took it to two shops both said the only code
computer showed was ambient air sensor and they said they both said they
drove it and it ran fine bring it home same thing. So we put a new fuel pump.
still the same the first shop said they thought it was electric so to take it to this bigger
shop with the fancy computer to find out exactly what was going on
,but they didn’t find anything. Anybody know what the crap to do? HELP😪

How old is the battery and is it in good condition? A weak/failing battery will cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated symptoms and diagnostic codes.
The rpms going high and then low points to a vacuum leak. Another possibility is the IAC (idle air control) is sticking and not operating properly.
I know dealers are expensive but so is firing the parts cannon. I would suggest letting a dealer diagnose the problem (typically 1 hour of labor) if you have a reputable dealer nearby,
If you are interested in getting the top working, check out 'sebringclub.net', dedicated to sebring/200 convertibles.
