Unhappy 95 Chrysler New Yorker a/c controller prob

Hi Everybody
I have just registered so please bear in mind if I make a few mistakes
I am hoping that someone here can give me advice on my 1995 Chrysler New Yorker A/C system. This is a real head scratcher. The a/c system works. It puts out cold air...but suddenly it switches to heated air. The a/c control panel buttons
will not control the system. When I press the auto button and AC function the blower starts blowing cold air. The display reads 60 degrees (dial set at 60 degrees max) and will operate for a period of time (20 minutes) then start blowing hot air.
I can hear the doors moving, hot air starts coming out of the defrost vents, by pressing the button for dash output, the doors move and hot air either comes out of the top vents or floor vents . I push the ac button many times then doors move and cold air comes out of the floor vents or dash vents. Then it decides to blow hot air. The system will not respond to the control panel. Just as it has its own mind and does what it wants to do.
I am going to borrow a diag instrument but I have to find one for the 95 year computer system.
any advice ,hints , etc will be welcome.
I have not taken it to a dealer yet but they would probably not want to tell me what is wrong.
I will check back for answers but do not know where they would show up. What are “TAGS”
