I pulled a motor outta a 04 Sebring to put into a 05 stratus. Got motor all in, spun fine putting in torque converter bolts. Now it makes one full revolution then locks up. I'm going tomorrow night to try unbolting to torque converter see if will allow motor to turn over again. Any suggestions would be very helpful thanks

 

I figure if I unbolt flywheel I can see if locked up from flywheel to motor or torque converter to transmission. I am guessing its right around that area where its locking up

 

Unbolted torque converter and still one full revolution then locks up. Any ideas to help me out. Only next step I can think of is to break motor and trannny back apart.

 

Going today to break motor and tranny apart will update how it goes. Hoping I didn't get a junk motor.

 

Pull the spark plugs and give it a crank. If water comes out you my have hydro-lock. Possible head gasket or intake manifold gasket leak.

 

Broken rod noticed after pulled motor back out
