Default Private message question

The message below was in my private inbox. I ran my updated virus checker twice and my computer is clean. I wrote to the administrators to verify the message was legitimate, but received no reply after several days. I really hesitate to click any link, especially this sort, until I receive some sort of assurance that is not a bogus message intended to lead me into trouble. I receive too many of them. Anybody know if this is a legit message?

Delete and ignore, it's a known issue.

That couldn't have been recent. We stopped that problem.

OK, thanks for the response, but it was very recent. I only began to receive the private messages a week or so ago. Since it looked suspicious and the messages didn't always come from the same addressee I did not click any of the links because I was waiting for some sort of confirmation. The funny thing is that now I seem to have lost access to my control panel. I do not know what happened to the bogus messages as they have now disappeared.
Is my account OK?

Your account is fine.

I mean recent as in the last few days. We corrected the problem on the 12th.
