This is my son's transportation to school.

He complained this morning it would run for 20 seconds or so then die. This kept repeating.

I wanted to get the code (if any) from the check engine lamp - but it is not working. No lamp when I turn the key to "ON" and the other lamps light.

I have a Haynes manual but can't find it anywhere.

Do I have to pull out the instrument cluster to get at it?
