'88 New yorker electrical
Just bought a 1988 New Yorker...the only problem I have with her right now is the electrical...when I put the fuse in (#2) for the "Dome Lights" it turns on ALL my interior lights (front map lights, rear reading lights, door lights etc) and the radio only works when that fuse is in as well, which seems weird because there is a completely different fuse for the radio called "radio"
Do you think this is something with the fuses, or is there some interior light switch I don't know about? I have read the owners manual and i have the light switch completely off, but the interior lights wont go off unless I manually pull out the fuse, even with ALL doors closed. Any and all help is appreciated.

Wow, I can't believe someone at least didn't try this one. I'm sure you ended up solving the thing, and I know nothing much at all, but in case someone else ever encounters this, I'll say that it seems to me that one of the door button switches is faulty, and so the thing is thinking the door is always open, and hence leaves the lights on.
I guess I'd just try disconnecting each door button wiring. However, I know little enough that I don't know how to tell you to do this.
