Default 99 2.7 Timing Chain Tensioner problem!

Hello everyone my first post here hopefully you can help me with my 99 Concorde 2.7 107000k
I recently replaced the power steer assist and it all went well but the car sat there for over a month on an incline before I fixed it and I started it without priming the engine now I have this knock sound and does not go away so, I Take the valve covers off everything looks okay then I take the bottom off and check the connecting rod bearing they also look good, so nooooowww I take the frontend and timing cover off and I turned the engine with a big ratchet I noticed that the timing chain tensioner was priming it self and snapping back with each revolution, before I keep going and take the timing chain and sprocket from the main off to check the oil pump does anyone have any suggestions’
