Need help with 01 Concorde issue
Looking at buying this car, 2001 Concorde 2.7, timing chain done about 2,500 miles ago along with water pump, but wont currently start. Family drove it for the last 2 months and all has been fine, went out one day and it wont start.
Turns over fine although it sounds like its turning over almost too easy. Oil is fine no coolant contamination, fuel pump comes on, actually got it to sort of fire and puff some smoke around the intake.
Any ideas? Cam sensor? The guy wants to unload it fairly cheap, but I dont need another project vehicle I need a driver or something I can fix quick. Im an ex certified ASE mechanic, I know what I am doing just no experience with current Chrysler stuff.

Thats just it, I believe its got all three. My hunch is timing chain, but it was just done less than 3k miles ago. I will date myself a bit and say it reminds me of an Escort with the timing belt gone, turns over just easy. However this one did try to fire, puffed a cloud of smoke out of the intake. Its the 2.7 and from what I have read they have had their share of issues and I think this one is toast.
