P1684 an P0601 Chrysler 300M (2001)
Hi!
I have a Chrysler 300M 2.7 automatic (2001). A few days ago the malfunction light (MIL) turned on. Yesterday I did the mistakes test and it showed the errors P1684 and P0601. However, the car run properly. Today, while I was driving the light (MIL) has turned off, but the errors keep continue to appear..
What is this about? Why has the light turned off now? What can I do?:confuso:
Thanks in advance!

1684 is common on these cars. Battery disconnect in the last 50 starts. Check all battery connections, battery, jump post, and ground on strut tower. Must be clean and tight. I suspect an open in the battery circuit reset the codes and they will come back.
0601 is an Internal ECM failure, no fix other than new engine control module. Some folks have driven for years with 0601 with no issue.

Thank you so much for the information. I have been looking for information about the codes and just like you tell me, p1684 is not important. I worry the code p0601 primarily, because I don't understand entirely its meaning and it appears more worrisome.. I'm going to check and clean all battery connections, after I'll reset codes.
