Default Ipod help with the 430 rbz

I originally posted this in the Town and Country Forum but thought this might be a better fit over here.

I have an 4th gen Ipod nano hooked up to the radio through the glove box usb. It works great and although the voice command is not as nice as the Ford Sync system I was used to it is still good. The question I have is....every time I restart the car after having the ipod selected as the audio source, it jumps back to the Sat radio. Is there anyway to tell the 430 rbz to default to last state on engine start? Has anybody else noticed this? It is kind of annoying when you jump out to get something real quick from the local Quickie Mart come back and start the car only to have to switch it back to the Aux/ipod output because it had reset itself to the Satellite input. Thanks for any help.

Default Technical Issue

Have you had this looked at professional? This almost sounds like a wiring issue. I have the same problem in my vehicle, my wire that is supposed to store the memory of where the radio/SAT/inputs isnot hooked up properly. This is the only thing I can think of. Hope you figure it out!

SO I finally took my car in for the first oil change at the dealership and I asked them about this ipod issue with the radio. It was explained to me that this was normal, no matter how annoying. The service rep said they have had complaints and they are hoping that it is remedied in a future firmware upgrade for the system. So if you are wondering, there it is. My opinion is that it will not be fixed and the "firmware" line is the polite way of saying "maybe, just wait and see."
