Those extended warranty plans are better thought of as "pre-paid service plans." It is basically a bet by the company that you will spend more on the plan than you would at the dealership for repairs. They don't sell those plans with the intention of losing money on them. If you are comfortable making that bet with the company, then by all means, put your money down.

Default Maximum Care is a Scam

I bought this plan for $2,600 for 3 years of coverage with the $100 deductible, as part of the procedure you are required to do a vehicle inspection to make sure there aren't preexisting conditions, so there goes another $100. A month later I have a claim and take it to the dealer. They don't tell you that they have 24-48 hours to respond and approve your claim, so take whatever time it takes the dealer to determine the issue, then and on 48 hours, so you are basically looking at 3 days without your vehicle before the dealer either gets the ok or not ok to do the repair. It turns out that I have several mechanical issues which totals up to $3,700 of repairs, well Chrysler decides that they are going to DENY ALL OF THEM as they are all PREXISTING CONDITIONS! What a scam, don't waste your money, I am planning on filing a civil lawsuit as I followed the requirements of the program and was approved for the plan until I had a claim that exceeded the value of my payment.

I have been told a transmission will not be available till April 7th. Other vendors said basically the same thing. It is very rough to figure out how I would pay for a bill of around 5000 dollars, parts and labor for a new transmission. I am at wits end. You would think complaining about a long delay would not cause you to be suspended. I was suspended for complaining about a parts availability issue that kept my repairs from being done. None of this had anything at all to do with me. It has everything to do with FCA. I have been suspended for not getting an inspection because of part availability issues. It is a very disheartening situation when you are a poor senior citizen college student on a fixed income and your safety net is pulled from underneath you by a huge corporation.

I recently (last fall) paid $2,200 for Mopar MaxCare 8/60 and the Mopar MVP plan, both $0 deductible. $50 over cost. 2020 Chrysler 300S 5.7. Selling dealer included a lifetime limited powertrain warranty (non Mopar), with $0 deductible for 'free' - I'm sure it was built in to the price of the car.

Update I found another forum. 300c forum. Thank you to the over 7000 viewers. I still have my black and blue, because she is a little bruised after 360000 or 370000, what is a few thousand miles give or take on my300c heritage edition . Having the manifold gasket replaced and some air conditioning parts and a wiring harness for the MDS system. Hopefully the parts I need will arrive soon.

I have the Chrysler Maximum Care warranty, and it’s been worth it so far. It covered a few expensive repairs without any issues. I'd recommend it if you plan to keep your car long-term and want peace of mind. Just make sure you read through what’s covered to avoid surprises!

Update. I have my 2007 300C back in the shop. The stalling was corrected by a new crank sensor. I have an issue with the car running perfectly for days then it will begin to cut out like it will not take gasoline. I have suggested that they change the fuel filters because to my knowledge they have never been replaced. These fule filters are located inside the fuel pumps inside the gas tank. I feel like I am driving two different cars at times. One car has almost telepathic throttle response one car will not accelerate without a jerking and surging until you reach a certain point then it will accelerate. This as you can imagine is completely frustrating because you never know which car you will be driving from day to day. This has taken a while. When the car is running well it is a pleasure to drive. It still handles good, I do feel the shocks and struts need to be replaced soon. The codes are almost always the same P0420 P0425 P04229 as I remember they are all indicating some issues with the mds system. Sometimes an engine immobilizer code and a random miss fire code. Generally they have to do with the MDS system and a Catalytic converter code once in a while. I have to give credit where credit is due and subtract the credit when it is not working correctly. I did get a new engine. The engine has had issues on multiple occasions. I hope this gets worked out and solved because I am so tired of the same old issues.

I am waiting once again on a back ordered part. It amazes me that this happens again and again. I have a 2007 300c that I purchased new. I waited two months for a driveshaft assembly. Even though I had my vehicle at a Stellantis dealership waiting on drive train parts they said I did not get my inspection on time. They give you a small window to accomplish these inspections every 5 years. Can anyone explain to me how a car can be waiting on a driveshaft assembly and not have the drivetrain inspected. I am waiting again for back order parts. This time suspension parts. I called the customer service line and they said we are warranty so we can not help you with parts. Parts are integral to fixing your car and warrant is the division that determines if you are covered. I know from my contract what is covered. You would think warranty would work hand in hand with parts. They say you must call parts. I believe they should call parts for you and stay on the line to help with the process. I suppose this is too much to ask that people be able to communicate with other entities in the same company and help you if you want a warm transfer. You would think they would try to be more considerate. It appears to me in corporate america that they love to say this is a different department and you need to speak to them. It is the same company. Well I will think about what else to post when I calm down a bit. All I know is someone that has purchased five or six new automobiles should get better customer service.
