Default 2004 Sebring 2.0 is lazy and has no power

Hi All,

I think this is my last hope. I am the owner of a 2004 Sebring 2.0 LX, the 140bhp version. I am absolutely satisfied with the car but there is a problem that's been bugging me even from day 1. The car runs fine but at times it seems to lack the power i should get from 140 bhp, to put it in plain english, the car is lazy. I've visited a lot of garages and they all say there is nothing to do about it. Do you have any idea what to check? To make it more complicated, i am not in the US, i actually live in Eastern Europe in Romania where this type of car is sort of rare...Any ideas about what could cause this? or this is how the car behaves normally? i forgot to mention that the transmission is manual.

Anything could help me a lot so thanks in advance!
