Default 2004 Sebring convertible motor fluid

Can I use power steering fluid in my top motor? Just a bit to top it off as it is getting sliw going up (again). No signs of leaking though??

Power steering fluid or transmission fluid would be fine. There must be some reason it's losing fluid. It shouldn't. Inspect the lines, couplings, cylinders carefully.

For '04, Dexron is the power top fluid. It is a different fluid from ATF+4 which is the trans fluid and power steering fluid for '04

As dcotter noted, the only reason it would be low on fluid would be if there is a leak. The leak would be evident by an oil stain or puddling by the pump or the cylinders.

If the top is slow going up, make sure the mechanism isn't binding.
