Default 2007 Trip Comp. MPG doesn't work

The Avg MPG calculation does not work in my 2007 Sebring sedan Trip Computer. It just displays"dashes" all the time. Reseting does not help. Also the DTE display will not show at all (probably because there is no valid MPG calc??). Any ideas?

Also, the outside temperature display is intermittent. When you first turn on the ignition key, it usually shows 70 deg F (no matter what the actual temp is..). After driving a few miles, it starts working and displays the correct temp. When you shut off the engine and remove the key and then restart, it will not work again. Also, seems like you have to drive for it to work, just idling will not get it going. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Charlie
