Default 2008 Chrysler Sebring - No Power

I have a 2008 Sebring Hardtop convertible with 3.5 Engine with 79,000 miles- No power, No crank, no start

A couple days prior I was noticing that when trying to start that I would turn the key, nothing would happen, turned key again and it would start. Then I went to start and appeared my battery was dead. I put the charger on the battery and now battery is charged and still no power to the car. I replaced battery couple months ago, I have not tested as of yet, but wouldn't think its the battery.

My thoughts is maybe the ignition switch, but now that I have no power what so ever, I am not sure. Would ignition switch cause no power?

Could be a lot of things. Begin with the battery. You should get hold of a digital volt-ohm meter, and check the battery voltage. a fully charged battery will be in the neighborhood of 12.6 volts or so. If the battery is good and strong, start checking for corrosion at the battery terminals and follow the wires from the battery to as far as you can and continue to look for a bad connection. Loosen each connection, wiggle the wires to break up corrosion and re-tighten. If it's really bad, take it apart and clean the metal with sandpaper or something similar before re-connecting. It could be the ignition switch, but as previously noted, it could be many other things, so try to eliminate all the cheap and easy stuff before you start throwing expensive parts at it.

After checking battery connections, check the Jump Post and Ground connections on the drivers side under the hood. Battery access is poor at best but you must start there.

Default Problem solved

It was my battery, or maybe better yet my charger. My charge showed my batter was fully charged.

I tested, showed battery dead. put a different charger and now starts right up.

I am still having issues with ignition switch and think it might be on last leg, but car has power.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO RESPONDED! I truly appreciated it!
