2010 Sebring Lock issue
I've been reading through the forums and haven't found this issue exactly.
First post!
My daugter's car is a 2010 Sebring Touring edition 2.4. with around 25k on the odo. She's going away to college soon and I want to ensure her car isn't going to leave her stranded. Despite the low miles we've already had to put a water pump into this thing, and replace the cover to the airbox, which seems to be a poor design that breaks the plastic tabs off because it doesn't really fit that well.
When she hits the unlock button on the key fob and opens the driver door, we're getting about 2 seconds of prolonged clicking under the steering column. It only happens once between restarts of the car.
It's odd. The right rear door already seems to hit the actuator twice with every lock and unlock...it's done that since we got the car. This noise under the steering column is new. I haven't taken anything apart yet until I can get some tips on what to chase.
Door locks do seem to still be working OK, but this noise under the dash is unnerving. Definitely electrical.
Any ideas?
