97 2.5 stalling at idle issues
My 97 sebring started stalling only at idle/low speed, at high speeds sometimes it will cut out but immediately catch itself and be ok. It restarts just fine but is annoying mechanics don't know whats wrong since no significant codes are being thrown, i believe its some sort of timing sensor. I would very much like to test crankshaft/camshaft sensors as i have a multimeter, anyone know the pins/readings i should be getting? Anyone recommend a good manual that would have this information? I don't want to just start blindly replacing parts. Anyone have this problem before? also i started it in diagnostic mode and i got two error codes 12 and 55 are these obd1 codes or chrysler specific codes?
Its very sporadic my stall out 5 times in one day then be fine for a week which leads me to believe its electrical. A link to a manual would be greatly appreciated if you have one

Well I had the same problem with my 1996 chrysler sebring jx... I took it to autozone and it threw off a Thortle position sensor... Soo I got the part cost me about $45 replaced it... Fairly simple its on the throtle body just take it out and replace the tps... but make sure you installed it correctly...

thanks for the reply i did replace the tps, but it was still stalling on me, the dealership replaced the MAP sensor, still stalled but at least i was able to start it up again. i got in there and replaced a broken vacuum line, spark plugs and the valve cover gaskets. Hasn't stalled since but i will repost when it starts acting up again
