99 Sebring Harsh shift in/out of overdrive

Car has 62K on it. I just bought it. Harsh shift in and out of overdrive. Not bad when taking it easy, but give it hard acceleration and it will slam pretty hard.
Suggestions?

At 62,000 miles you are probably due for a transmission fluid change. Start there and see if that helps.
