Question Damaged transmission pan thread

Thanks to all in this forum making it great !

So Sebring 2004, small leak of transmission oil at the pam seal. One of the bolt not tightening anymore as thread damaged.

Wondering what is best
- let it be
- repair the thread (would love to practice but don't want to damage more)
- other

All inputs most welcome !

Helicoil to repair the thread, or re-drill and tap the hole for a larger screw.

If you're queasy about doing it, hire it done. It's about a 10 minute job for somebody who knows what he is doing and has a hoist.
