Default Dodge neon Keyless entry blowing fuses

My friend has a 2004 Dodge neon and the keyless entry remote blows the fuse everytime its engaged whether to lock or unlock the doors. Does anyone know how i could fix this problem? And the electric switch doesn't work either. only the front doors are power windows but the keyless locks and unlocks both sets of doors.

This is a Chrysler Sebring forum. You might have better luck in a Dodge forum. Anyway, if fuses are being blown, there's a short somewhere. Could be in the lock motor, could also be in the wiring. Wiring to doors is subject to breaking where it enters the door from the body due to flexing as the door opens and closes. Get yourself a volt-ohmmeter and a set of trim tools and take the trim off the door to track this down. It's not rocket science but may take some patience.
