Default Engine swap 2.7 2004 to 2001 It does work

Just want to say that I just finished an engine swap 2.7 from a 2004 to 2001. Just got it running and everything works fine. I had to swap the rear exhaust manifold, egr valve, upper intake, engine harness, knock sensor, flexplateand cam sensor ring which is located on the front camshaft sprocket. It is also called the camtone wheel. The reason for changing all this is because of the differant controller. The 04 has the NGC and the 01 has SBEC. So anyways it does work and if anyone needs any info please contact me at rjasp2000@yahoo.com.

I also want to thank everyone that gave me the info I needed to make this happen. Extra thanks to chrysler tech and moe.... thanks again Russ

Like I said it does work. After I was done I had two engine codes, P0172 P0175 banks 1 and 2 two rich. The problem was I left the 04 injectors in when I changed the engine. The 04 injectors are flex fuel and the 01's are not and the computer is not programed for flex fuel injectors. So I changed the infectors, fuel rail and fuel preasure reg. Now all codes are gone and still runs fine. I will run fine with the flex fuel injectors but the engine light will be on. thanksRuss
