Default Help needed with 97 Sebring LX

My sister has a 1997 Chrysler Sebring LX and for the past couple of months it would take spells of not starting. One week it would start up every time, then the next it will just crank and crank like it is not getting fuel. We took it to a couple of garages but they couldn't find any thing wrong with it because it started every time for them.
When it does start you can turn the key on and hear the fuel pump running. But when it doesn't start you cant hear the fuel pump running. When it is running it runs perfect not a thing wrong with it. We think the fuel pump is still good, if the fuel pump was going bad wouldn't it not start at all?

if what u say is true the u are looking at possable fuel pump relay thats easy just swap it around with another one. Wires but i doubt that because of it not going more more then every so often. So I would go for pump it self or the pcm. Pcm control side not telling the relay to close or the fuel pump itself not working its only a motor. U can test it out when its not working have some one kick the back tank area and see if it will jar the pump to work again.

ooo nice u have a mitsu engine humm I wont be much help with this one because of the limited info that i have here at the dealer. Plus if i can remember right i have only messed with 2 maybe 3 2.0 mitsu engines b4 because they are so uncommon. Look under the hood for the fuse box and a relay box with a black top under the top will have that info u want.

There is what looks like three relays bolted to the firewall, but no cover or anything on them to tell me which relay is for what.
