Default NO Brake lights

I have a 98 JXI. I have owned it since new. She is my last born and fav! Next to my 69 Charger, first born...(don't tell my kids)All my brake lights went out at the same time, including the 3rd (center). All fuses are good, all hazard and blinkers work. Is it the brake switch? Would this make my CEL come on? Or is that just a fluk? 165,900 miles! Can't see paying $75 to the shop just to tell me what it is. Thanks!

I would say brake light switch as well the CEL is emission related not brake related.
