Default Sebring Convertible Emergency Brake Light

I have a 2001 Sebring Convertible LXi with 40K miles. About 2 months ago I noticed that whenever I made a relatively slow right hand turn the brake light would illuminate on the dash just briefly and at the same time the audible tone would accompany the light. This is perfectly normal when the emergency brake handle is pulled but obviously not going off on its own. I haven't tried to troubleshoot it just yet but my first thing to check would be whatever switch mechanism there is that trips the emergency brake light and sets off the tone. Does anyone know where this sort of connection is being made and how can I get to it? I am thinking that it must be in the vicinity of the emergency brake handle under the center console. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
