Default Sebring shift linkage at transmission issue. 2007

Having a problem;
The shifter linkage at the transmission has failed. Apparently the BUSHING holding the cable assembly to the plate that does the shifting has failed. The shifter no longer works. Here are a few pics.

Top photo, the black ring is from the cable to the shifter. It sits on the pin/nub... what ever you want to call it. it is held on by a bushing in the black ring which has disintegrated.

Chrysler really gave me the run around. They said the part is no longer made, gave me some bogus part numbers that had nothign to do with it. Now I am afraid the are going to tell my stepfather it will take 2 weeks to get the part if they can find it and charge hime over 450 for the cable plus labor.

Does anyone know a parts place that carries that bushing???

Thanks,
That is a great site. Stepfather did not listen to me and had it towed to Chyrsler. Can't wait to see what they are going to say he needs.
I have the pics. I have had two sebrings. Caught the dealership near me... (south) in unnecessary repairs. They went out of business.

His bill totaled over $1100. It should have been fixed for $20 and 10 mins work. Not sure what else he had done, but he was def billed over 350 for the part.

Truth, but I try to look out for them... however I can... I let it go, but that lost them the money.
