yeah I have seen aftermarket dis just not work so if u want to live with it keep what u ahve if not get a oem they are high.
I could have told u that an after market one was your prob that was my mistake assuming that u had a factory one in there.

 

Next door neighbor had the same problem and went to the junkyard and got one with no more problems.Up to what year uses the same one that i have?

 

not a clue no one knows when or what chryslers changes between years some can be half way through the year some will run for 4 years. Just haft to look things up by part numbers if they match then u should not have an issue.

 

Went to the junk yard and got a distributor off another 98 with 88,000 miles on the motor and installed it and it has fired up everytime,so that proves to me that the rebuilt ones will not work. Wish me luck.
