Question Splashed through heavy rain, now odd symptoms

2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible 2.7L with 65,000 miles 4spd auto -- drove through heavy rain and deep puddles last week, now: Battery indicator light sometimes comes on; transmission clunks when car stops; speedometer shows 15 MPH when stopped; convertible top retract button no longer works. All happened after splashing through puddles. Engine still runs fine. Do these symptoms make sense to anyone? Suggestions?

Check for a bad ground somewhere, especially in the body computer circuits. Could also be an alternator problem and/or a weak/dying battery.

Given that it's January and you are attempting to put the top down, I am guessing you are located somewhere far south like Florida and maybe near the ocean. 12 years of salt air can play havoc with electrical connections.

Thanks, will check for that. I am in Los Angeles. It was 80 degrees this week. The top worked perfectly fine until after this heavy rain, now, no response to the retract button.
