'06 300 Limited AWD Electronic Throttle Control
I replaced a leaky water pump on our 2006 300 Limited with 115,000 miles. Along with the water pump, I replaced the timing belt and tensioner and had trouble keeping tension on the new belt to keep the timing marks on the cams and the crank aligned. Never did get the passenger cam perfect (1/2 tooth off), but the drivers side was perfect, as was the crank. After doing this procedure twice on our '00 300M and never got them perfect either, I decided to close up the front of the 3.5. After filling it with antifreeze, I fired it up and let it idle for about 30 minutes to check my work. Satisfied, I opened the door to shut it off and I noticed the engine had a slightly rough idle. I took it on the road, it drove fine, but still had a rough idle when I got home. I decided to replace the OEM plugs and all 6 of them looked surprisingly good for 115K. With the new plugs in, I replaced the intake and all of the leads to the sensors and the throttle body. Fired it up and it still has a miss and now its throwing a P0300 code and the red ETC light comes on periodically, thus limiting performace and elevating the idle. With the key off, everything resets once we start the car again. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
I would rather not say it yet no, the choke body was a substitution from oriellys, the pedal was the STANDARD brand, the wrench sensor was a BWD, The PC was a substitution from a secondary selling organization I cannot recall the name. One of those arrangements where I give the part numbers and they program it. However, the PC that was already in it was a re monitored mopar.. All the other things was unique as far as anyone is concerned. I would have figured it would have worked at least for a tad with any of these parts being terrible, however it did nothing by any means. No change what so ever.
