I talked to a local shop about the Monroe's, but he came up with a better idea. Bilstein 4600s all around and air bags in the rear. Spendy, but I'm pretty sure it will be worth it.

Went with it and so far it is an awesome set up. No longer wallows down the road. It has a firm ride and equally firm handling. The old shocks must have been completely dead. Paired with BFG Advantage TA Sport tires, it's a sweet set up.

I agree (minus bags), this setup feels great.

I put Bilsteins on our Aspen several years ago and they seem to be holding up. I also installed Firestone Coil right airbags that install in the rear coil springs for towing. Unfortunately I could never quite get one to seal correctly.

I went with KYB on my 07' 4x4 hemi Aspen Limited, really happy with the ride and stability of vehicle; don't tow or haul anything with it, just grandkids. I did go with RIDE RITE Firestone Air Bags on my Super Duty Truck, that's the only way to go for big loads.

I had the load adjusting shocks on my 2006 Durango. Towed a 5000# RV a few times using a w/d hitch and it say level and towed well. Wish I got a ser for the 2009 Aspen. The ones i got are already bagged after a year. Only towing is a 2000# trailer w/ a SxS.
