Default Anyone using E85 Fuel with their Flex Fuel Aspen?

The local Kroger has E85 fuel for $2.08 and just wondering if its worth it. A buddy of mine told me E8 burns faster than the traditional regular unleaded fuel at $2.39. thoughts?

E85 is a smoke screen to make people believe that there are people out there trying to do good for cars and trucks. E85 will use 30% more energy to get the same power and 14.7 to 1 air fuel ratio then gas. Simple math or hard math how ever u want to think of it.
1 gal of reg gas 2.39 gal E85 2.08 if u get say 300 miles per tank and have a 15 gal tank u get 20MPG 35.85 for a tank. E85 31.20 per tank and U will get roughly 210 miles per tank so 14 MPG cheaper over time but in a long run U will be spending more money to get the same miles U travel "which I doubt will change" in a month so it wont save u anything U will spend more and if U want to get down to the nitty gritty u will be putting more pollutants in the air from the refining process, tankers having to bring it to the gas station more because people are going through it faster then reg gas.

Just my opinion and from what I see on the DRB scanners that I have used to diog cars.

^+1. I have done a fair amount of research in this, the primary fuel price reporting agency, AAA, backs up what chrysler tech said. It costs the consumer more $ to burn E85 than regular.

National Averages for Fuel prices - August 3rd, 2009

Regular $2.549
Mid $2.708
Premium $2.804
Diesel $2.587
E85 $2.048
**E85 MPG/BTU adjusted price $2.696

**The BTU-adjusted price of E-85 is the nationwide average price of E-85 adjusted to reflect the lower energy content as expressed in British Thermal Units - and hence miles per gallon - available in a gallon of E-85 as compared to the same volume of conventional gasoline. It is calculated and displayed as part of AAA's Fuel Gauge Report because according to the Energy Information Administration E-85 delivers approximately 25 percent fewer BTUs by volume than conventional gasoline. Because "flexible fuel" vehicles can operate on conventional fuel and E-85,the BTU-adjusted price of E-85 is essential to understanding the cost implications of each fuel choice for consumers.
