Question Where do i tap in for 2009 Aspen MDS indicator light

Does anyone know what is the easiest way to tap into the MDS controller wire to connect an indicator light that turns on when MDS is active? Can one of these be pick up at the coil pack? I read in another forum (for a Ram) that it can be picked up at the PCM, but on the Aspen the firewall is so far in, I don't think it's feasible. Also, If I could find out if there is a wire that is hot (12v) when in V8 mode and 0v in MDS, that would be useable also.
Thanks in advance

I don't have technical insight on this, but I know Aspens with the J-package indicate MDS is functioning on the overhead display when it is set to MPG. I would think it would be easier to get that feature installed than to install a light for the function.

Just my $0.02. Good luck!

You can create your own indicator light. You need to tap into the MDS solenoid circuit to drive the LED. I hate to steer you somewhere else, but there are wiring diagrams for doing this on a few of the LX based forums.

I have read the chrysler forums, and the ways to make my own indicator light, but what i want to know is "the easiest way to tap into the MDS controller wire to connect an indicator light" on the Aspen. The firewall is on the Aspen is pushed so far back that i am looking for an easier access.
