Default 2005 Pacifica alarm system

The horn and lights flash when you push the lock button and the alarm light indicator flashes on the dash and indicates the alarm is armed but the alarm never goes off when you try to open any doors any help would be appreciated

No, I haven't waited that long, only about 2 minutes. Does it take that long?

I locked the doors tonight at church for about 1 1/2 he. And tried that and then went and bought groceries and tried it then too and nothing

Is there a way too turn off just the horn but yet the system would still show it on by the dash light flashing
