Hello.

I just purchased this vehicle. The liftgate opens fully, then immediately closes. From some research, it seems that this is almost always caused by weak support struts. I ordered them and was kind of surprised just how cheap they were.

Anyway, how do I replace them if the hatch keeps closing? Perhaps open it, then quickly disconnect the battery, followed by supporting the lift gate with whatever?
