Unhappy 2005 Touring AWD normal rpm at 70+ MPH?

I have a 2005, Touring, AWD with the 3.5 and 4 spd AT. At 70, on the highway the tach is registering 3200+. This seems a bit high to me since my 2004 Trailblazer with a 5.3 V8 only runs 2100 at 75. I know the smaller engine has to work a bit harder, but what is normal? I am thinking that maybe the Pacifica isn't shifting into OD like it should?

Any ideas or comments? Thanks in advance.

Rich and Jeanne.

I agree with your hunch. Have not done a lot of freeway driving lately but something in the 23-2500 range is more the norm as I recall.
