Default Antifreeze is leaking 3.5 Engine (TOURING)

I have the trouble with leaking of antifreeze. The leaking starts somewhere near the water pump, but not from the water pump. We have replaced water pump without positive results.

My mechanic wants to remove the rear cover of timing belt for farther investigations. But ha cannot remove the cover without lifting of engine. He claims that cannot remove the sprockets without lifting of engine. Could be good to hear if someone had similar cases and solved it. Thanks.
