Have an 04 Pacifica and the AC seems to be dead. I checked the fuses and relays. Swapped relays from places that I knew that fuction worked, made no change. Took the AC relay out and tested the ports under it. From the front of the vehicle the two on the left were hot at all times, with the snow flakeon the HVAC unit it did not change, left two hot, nothing else. With car running. On and off on the HVAC controls, no noise from the AC clutch. Held the recirculate and power button on the controls to reset, same results. HELP PLEASE! It's getting hot here and momma needs her AC!

you might have a leak, take it to a pro. they at least can tell you whats wrong with it.

 

If the AC clucth isnt engaging, this may very well be due to no/very low 134A, is the refridgent pressure sensors, says there isnt enough refridgent iin the system, it will tell the PCM NOT to let the A/C relay turn on, because, the compressor will be damaged by running with refridgent, since the refridgent has oil in it which lubes the inside of the compressor

 

Have spent about $2700 ot get my '04 Pac A/C fixed. The dealer said the A/C system was empty (no freon). Also said the A/C compressor clutch was shot.

Spent $1300 to get the compressor and dryer replaced and system charged. Worked great for about 2 weeks. Slowly started putting out warmer and warmer air. After 5 trips back into the dealer about every two weeks,where they added freon w/ tracer die, they could not find a leak ($50 each time).

Finally went to another mechanic and he found the leak in the A/C coil in the dash (next to the cabin filter). Cost $1200 and two days to COMPLETELY remove the dash, replace the A/C coil andput the dash back in the car.

Been a month and the problem seems to be fixed now. I suspect the compressor and dryer was a waste of money.
