Low Beam Headlight Won't Turn Off 2006 Pacifica
I have a 2006 Pacifica with an aftermarket HID Kit installed. Those lights have been working fine since I installed them over a year ago. This week I am having an issue where the Low Beam HID lights won't turn off. If I turn the headlights off or turn the car off they stay on. The only way I can get them to turn off is by removing the fuse in the wiring harness that came with the HID Kit. Is there a relay on the 2006 Pacifica that would be causing this? I checked the fuse box under the hood and I didn't see anything that was labeled for the headlights. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
If you put back in standard Halogen bulbs, do you have the same issue?
Are the sidelights (parking lights, I think they are called in the US, sorry) staying on as well?
Do the rear lights stay on as well?
I would assume that something has become damaged due to the lower electrical pull of the HIDs compared to a standard Halogen bulb, did you use CANBUS friendly HIDs at all?

I almost did that, but because it's been raining daily and so humid, I didn't want to open up the headlamps and let some of that humid air in.
I did, however, unplug the HIDs for a day, and then plugged them back in... the issue seemed to resolve itself. If it happens again, I think I'll try a hard reset on the TIPM. Saw a youtube video on it, basically remove both battery terminals, cross them and wire-tie them together to discharge any caps in the system for a few hours. I'll just post back in this thread once I figure out WTF is going on.
