Default PACIFICA WHEEL LOCKS

Hi, i'm new to the forum with my '04 pacifica...i do have a question regarding the "correct" wheel locks for my 04 with factory alloy 17in wheels w/center caps.....it looks like the 1 piece chrysler#82300160 locking lugs MAY be too long to then attach the plastic center cap...also it looks like the 2 piece set from chrysler# 04504841may not have the correct taper because it also
isused to fit the steel wheel which come on some pacificas.....anybody know which is the correct locking lug for me?

Get rid of the wheel locks they are useless. It's coincidental thatyour post showed up today. Aside from collecting cars (I have 10) I also do business with car dealers. I was at a Porsche dealer this morning and the subject of wheel locks came up. All of the people in the discussion, Porsche service manager, service writer and 2 Porsche techs all said they got rid of the wheel locks (on there Porsche's)as have I on all of my vehicles. The last thing you neeed is to be searching for the wheel lock tool when you've gotten that flat at night in the rain on the highway.

Also, quite often when people leave their vehicles for servicing and a wheel needs to be removed the wheel lock tool is no where to be found.

My vehicles range in value from about $18,000 to $75,000 and none have wheel locks on them. They really are a pain to deal with and don't really serve much of a purpose.

i'm aware of the downside of the locks, however the upside is this vehicle will not be parked overnight in my driveway or garage and also on a city street....i still need some tech help on the "correct" locking lugs!
