Default Programming Key FOB - 2007 Pacifica Limited

How would I go about getting a second key fob programmed for an '07 Pac Limited. Much of the reason we chose the limited was for the seat memory, and that requires two different key fobs if you want to change positions with different keys. Our vehicle only came with one. The guy that sold it to us suggested getting a replacement key-fob on Ebay and having a locksmith cut and program it. But I think only the dealer can re-create the #1 and #2 key. Is this correct, can someone help me out with this? TIA.

You can get them cheap on ebay and Amazon.
Buy from vendors that have good reviews.

Some locksmiths can program them, but you may have to get the dealer to program the key.

I suggest that you buy two blanks, and get one programmed, because you can get the third cut to fit the vehicle by anyone, and program that key yourself.
This way you will have a spare key, and if one is lost, you can just buy another, get it cut and program it yourself.
You need 2 programmed keys to program them yourself.
In the long run, it will save you some money.
IF after getting the key programmed the key remote features do not work, disconnect the battery for a few minutes.
There are instructions in the owners manual for programming the keys.

Sometimes the extra keys remote feature may need to be reprogrammed.
Just go through the programming sequence again to reset them.
As long as the keys chip still starts the car, the key can be used to reprogram others.

Solid advice, I will do just that. Thanks a bunch for the help, I was concerned that a locksmith couldn't attach a key to a certain memory position, but I read in the manual that as long as the key is programmed you can set each key to a memory position yourself using the EVIC (the electronic gizmo that tells you mpg and such).
