Default Throttle body

The gas pedal was sticky, so I removed the air intake hose from the throttle body, pulled the throttle cable up so that valve opened, and cleaned in there with throttle body cleaner and a small brush.
Acceleration felt great after that, no more sticky.

But something else is still weird.

I notice it best when driving down a quiet street and maintaining a steady speed. The acceleration of the car flutters, like it's gasping just slightly. If you were to apply steady pressure on gas pedal, accelerating just slightly, you won't feel this.
But if trying to just maintain a constant 30 mph, for example, it will feel like it's kind of gasping. Not sure how to describe this, hope that is clear.

Any advice on what could be causing this?
Thanks for any help

Someone suggested to me that the problem may also be caused by the EGR valve being dirty.
Does this seem possible?
Some other symptoms I've had, is surging of the engine and rarely, coming to a quick stop in a left turn lane, the engine will stall.

I got the codes by doing key on-key off - key on trick, and they were: p0456, p0406.

I looked these up, and 456 refers to the gas cap, which explains why the odometer said "gascap" once about a week ago, I figured I did not screw it on tight enough, and didn't see it again. I don't see the message anymore, though my wife said she's seen it once or twice. Is this just a simple problem of the cap itself being old/bad, or is it a sign of deeper problems? (i.e. nothing to really do with the actual cap)

then next code came up 406 which is apparently something to do with the EGR sensor, which from talks with someone else (in my other message) indicated that once it goes bad, it's cheapest to simply replace it.

What kind/model year vehicle & engine are you referring to? I don't see any indication in the post or in your profile.

Have you checked the MAP sensor and EGR valve? Would start there as they are both inexpensive and very easy to remove/install
