Default Strange one for ya

I was backing up towards my garage in monsoon rain storm and visibility was poor. I did not want to crash into the door and kinda lurched the pt a few times. The check engine light came on referring to "tcm fault". This was 6 months ago and the pt is running fine. I see no adverse affects. Shifts normal. Kick down normal. Everything is as it should be. However, I can't erase the codes. Off for a few minutes then come back. Had the battery disconnected for a day figuring when I re-connected it might re-learn itself. NG. Any ideas? It's a 2006 pt non turbo automatic.

Thanks for that info. May end up at the dealer to get it checked out. 3 codes were listed but vague description basically just saying tcm fault. I forgot them but here is a new wrinkle. I just went out to the pt to let you know the codes and now it says no codes but the eng lite is still on. Go figure.
