09 T&C fwd evaporator and stall questions
Hi folks I'm new to the Forum. I'm looking to buy a 09 Town and Country with a 3.8 and the 6-speed. The AC is out and the owner's girlfriend said she heard it hissing before it stopped working. I'm thinking the forward evaporator is probably bad. Anyone ever change one? Also anyone have advice on how I tell if this is one of the vans that has the stall issue? And was that ever corrected?
This man also has a slight noise coming from the rear that the owner thinks is the tires but my 05 Grand Caravan had the same noise which is now super bad and I'm sure is the wheel bearings. It's not a usual wheel bearing noise. Any thoughts?
This man has 174000 and the price is $2,800 which I think is pretty good unless it cost alot to fix the AC. It has stow and go

The weak point in the AC seems to be the rear evaporator. It is somewhat open to the elements and is located just behind the right rear tire where it can get splashed with water (and road salt if it is used in your area).
This video shows how the evaporator is replaced:
